Oral Presentations

Basic Audiovisual Equipment
Available equipment will include one data/video projector and one PC computer with Windows readable ZIP (100 MB), CD-ROM and floppy disk drives. Macintosh formats CANNOT be supported. The available software will included PowerPoint XP, Adobe Acrobat (PDF file based) and Windows Media Player.

Authors using computer projection are urged to bring their media on a Windows-readable floopy, ZIP disk or CD-ROM 30 min prior to their allotted time to avoid setup delays between presentations. Authors wishing to use their own laptops may do so, but should be aware that the additional setup time will decrease their allotted presentation time.

Presenters must bring a copy of all external files contained within their powerpoint presentations, such as movie or sound files (wav, avi, mpeg, etc.).

Poster Sessions

Basic Equipment
Poster should be prepared for mounting on cork board. Table-top or self-standing poster boards cannot be accommodated. Additionally, projection equipment cannot be provided or accommodated in the poster area.

Planning and Layout
Cork boards are 5'10" (1.75 m) wide and 3'10" (1.15 m) high. For effective use of this space, consider organizing illustrations and text using a grid plan. Arrange materials in columns rather than rows. It is easier for viewers to scan a poster by moving systematically along it rather than by zig-zagging back and forth in front of it. Place your most significant findings at eye level immediately below the title bar, and the supporting data and/or text in the lower panels.

At the Meeting
Fifteen minutes prior to the start of your session, post your materials on your assigned board and leave them in place for the full session. Pushpins will be provided.

Please Note: Authors should be present during the entire poster session (~1.5 hr).
